Hi, anonymous.

Think about it. Thousands of readers post thousands of questions each day
to these newsgroups. Thousands of us read the questions. Many of us try to
help when we can. But we are just users like you. Strictly unpaid
volunteers. And we are NOT in one big room, sharing posts with each other.
We are all over the world. I'm in my converted bedroom in my home in Texas.
Nobody here but me. If I see your original question and if I think I can
help, I'll try to do it. But I'm not going to go searching for it in the
thousands of messages. Especially if the only clue to your problem is the
one word, "forgetfullness". I'm just going to scroll down to the next
message with a Subject that I might be able to help with.

If you post your original question again (copy'n'paste from your prior post
is perfectly OK if you're as lazy as me) with a meaningful Subject line,
chances are that I - or someone - will try to help you. If somebody has to
go back and find your previous post, it might as well be you, since you are
the one asking for help.

But please don't complain if I don't volunteer quickly enough to suit you.
Maybe I don't know the answer. Maybe I'm taking a coffee break, or
sleeping, or on vacation, or ... working for a living! Simply wait a
reasonable time (a day or two?), then post your question again.

These newsgroups (Discussion Groups, in Web-based interface lingo) have
helped millions of people (including me) and you can get help, too, if you
just think about how they work and use some common sense and courtesy.
