If you downloaded WinXP, then I wouldn't be surprised if all kinds of
things don't work - aka, you have "Pirate" software - the only
exception is if you have a full MSDN subscription and you downloaded
it from there - i.e MSDN subscription runs about 1100-1200 US dollars
per year.
