Format question

if i wanted to reformat the drive with windows xp on it (wanting to do a
fresh install as it is getting "bogged down") is there any way to protect
the drivers for the video card, cd burner and dvd drive? i have had this
computer for 3 yrs and have moved and unsure of where all the discs are with
drivers, etc. also i had a problem with the video card during the original
xp install.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
