A stab in the dark is that you aren't using the correct blank CDs..
like CD-R, or CD-RW, or CD+R...

Another stab in the dark is that you have two drives on your computer
and are using the read only CD? :-) I said a stab in the dark...

And another stab in the dark - are you using completely blank CDs?
