Do you have XP Pro or Home Edition? If you have Home Edition, it can only
be turned off in Safe Mode and then it is only turned off for that session,
once you boot back to Windows you no longer have the option and it won't
appear. If you have Pro, are you looking in the right place. If you turn
off Simple File Sharing in Pro, right click a file or folder, select
properties, you should see a Security tab.
