Every few days she posts the identical NEW message simply
offering these two websites. No real description, not in
response to any question. She never replies to any replies
because she doesn't seem to monitor these groups, she only
posts.

That IS SPAM. I am just posting a warning to the people who
might be tempted to click on her links because , 1. You can
get viruses that way. 2. You don't know anything about
their privacy policy. 3. The method of advertising her
business in not acceptable newsgroup practice.

| Jim,
| Please back up your comment re spam (not SPAM) with some
| verifiable information. Or are you just pissed off?
Please
| cite the specific violation is an aup or whatever you have
| to refer to.
| I'm interested because I haven't caught that particular
| Ellen you referenced as having spammed. What am I
missing?
| I've been to both those sites and found them useful,
| non-invasive, no cookie invasion, no port scans, no
attempt
| to collect any sort of personal information, and otherwise
| reputable, not spammy at all.
| If you want to be heard, you have to be factual and up
| front. The particular posting you quoted is a response to
| another person' inquiry.
