I was downloading the latest Windows critical up date
(last night 1 April) for my laptop running on Windows XP,
when the download stopped running and my laptop seized up.
I had to manually switch it off manually. Now when it
starts up it switches off again. I have run the diagnostic
system and the computer also stops at 61% through this
prcedure, I can only assume, the down load is responsible,
as my laptop is now unuseable. I will probabaly have to
recover the system using recovery discs. I think Windows
downloads should be fool proof, especially critical
updates.
