As the others have urged you, follow up on this as closely as possible to
be sure you don't have a virus or some malware on your system.
Also as mentioned, many of these things will block the running of MSCONFIG,
Task Manager and the Registry Editor -thus making the removal of the
intrusion more difficult. The system tools are usually blocked by name, so
renaming their executables is a plausible workaround. Example: Rename
regedit.exe to regedit.com
MVP Doug Knox has a tool that automatically creates a "backup set" of those
three programs for you (renamed and in their own folder):
