Two steps that foregot to do before installing the Sevice packs are
1:) Disk CleanUp ( remove all the "garbage" files
2:) Run a through Disk Def rag sessions If need and IMHO highly
recommended do multiple def rags at it will speed up your Service pack
installation process. An upon successful installation of the service
pack(s) in question De fragment you hard drive again and also schedule a
chkdsk at boot by start> run . chkdsk /f and answering yeas to the do
you whish to all appropriate questions tghe /f at the end of chkdsk
tells checkdsk to preform a scan of all attached hard drives nest time
you boot and fixes anty preblems that it sees.
