Jordan,
Try reinstalling the System Restore.
Click Start, Run and type the following command:
rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf
Press Enter
Note: The above procedure will remove all the existing System Restore points, and resets the System Restore drive monitoring options to defaults (monitors all drives by default.)

Hello,
I cannot run system restore and get this following error message.
Error: 1075
"The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion".
I have Windows XP with service pack 2 and Internet Explorer 7 installed.
I tried a search on the knowledge base for error 1075 and nothing comes up.
I already went ahead and ordered a service pack 2 disk to see if
re-installing it would solve this but I do not expect to get it for another
two weeks. I tried to download it but microsoft detects it on my computer
and the download does not proceed. Any help appreciated.
