OK this may be a stupid question but...
With Windows XP that has many limmited accounts and one admin account, how
can I make it so one of the user accounts can use a program without needing
an Admin password?
I am trying to allow Steam to run for a user account but don't want to
change the account to admin. It would be fine in all the user accounts can
run this program but I just don't want to allow full access for the accounts.
Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks!
This can be done but takes some extra work to accomplish. MVP Rick Rogers

On that same page (under item #2), you'll also find a link to an MS
Knowledge Base article that walks you through the steps of setting
permissions for that program so that the limited user can access it.

Re: Admin vs limited user account ... properly with limited user account (it does work fine with admin users).... Quite simply, the application doesn't "know" how to handle individual user profiles with differing security permissions levels, or the application is designed to make to make changes to "off-limits" sections of the Windows registry or protected Windows system folders.... "If your game or application works with admin accounts, but not with limited accounts, you can fix it to allow limited users to access the program files ...
