Hey, thanks I went to hp.com and got some info, but still running into
problems. I was going to start my computer in safe mode, and then cut and
paste the file in the appropriate place, but the first step is to go into
safe mode. I am having a hard time going into safe mode. The steps are
Start, Shut down, in drop down list click OK. When it says please select the
operating system to start press f8 use arrows to highlight the appropriate
safe mode option and then press enter, but my computer does not do that, the
way mine works is you press shut down and re-start, and it goes to the HP
window, a big blue screen with HP on it and I have pressed f8 during that
time, but nothing happends. Any ideas.

Ya, HP Tech support wants to charge me $40. Maybe I am a cheep skate. Do
you know of a good free HP Tech support site like this one?

HP uses its own repair/restore programs. They operate differently than
the
options available with a retail XP CD. And in some cases, HP tools will
differ from one HP model to the next. Consequently, HP tech support is
who
you need to troubleshoot this with.
