Replied to [Mick G]s message :
A week ago, my home PC loaded and stopped on the 'Active Desktop Recovery' screen. When I go to restore from the button beneath, an error comes up saying, An error has occured in the script on this file. Line:190, Char:65, Error: 'undefined' is null or not an object, Code:0 and gives the URL. I have tried the System Restore through the startup menu and that comes up saying, 'Can not Restore'.
I have tried running Nortons and virus checkers, but still no luck! Has anyone got any ideas that would solve this problem please?

Mick G Help is always appreciated, Thanks.
Right click Desktop, Properties, Desktop tab, Choose a picture, Click OK
OR
Disable Norton(i think it is blocking some script on the active desktop page) and then restart Windows, click Restore button
