remove Operating system manually



help please!
i had a problem with sony laptop vio, i was try to upgrade from win Xp home
to Win Xp pro but i got wrong CD . The cd i installed was win xp home. now
i have two(2) version of win XP home edition on my computer. During the
installation, it erased all the previous sony files that originally came
with the laptop including the system recovery wizard that already
preinstalled. Then i try to get it from Sony but is not available. So if
anyone know how to remove Operating system manually pls give hints
