Hi Ron, here my answers:
Make and model: Aopen, AX4SPE-UN (with Pentium 4, 2,4 GHz, 768 RAM)
Powered PC off after 4 - 6 minutes (no activities at HD)
Restart after failed install (with the CD in the CD ROM): Install starting
from the beginning (loading, partitioning, formating, ...) again so far I
remember. No error message.
I am now writing to you from the same PC with a pirat Win XP Pro (without
SP2) installed at a SATA 250 GB harddisk without any problems. I want to have
a legal Win XP Home at my PC.
Go to be something wrong with that particular XP Home installation CD
then.
Can you get a different OEM XP Home CD to try?
Good luck
