A new CD (OEM) Win XP is crashing at the end of installing. Tryed it on three
different harddisks (IDE + SATA) - same result. Got a new CD from the
supplier - same problem. After restarting of the PC at the end of the
installation process, I get the Win logo on black background and the blue
moving dots stop after few seconds. Then the PC is dead.
Have I overseen some important issues in the installation prosedure?
What is the make and model of the motherboard in the computer?
How long did you leave the computer sitting at the end of the install
process before you powered it off?
What happens if you restart the computer after the failed install?
Does it resume the install or give you an error message or ???
