internet connection sharing- can only get google

I've got a very strange issue. I can only get google sites on my client
computer, using internet connection sharing. These come up very fast, no
problems at all, for all google sites. NO other URLs come through, not even
Microsoft! I just get the dreaded error screen. I'm on XP SP2, new computer,
using Linksys wireless network adapters (about three years old).
Anyone have any experience of this? Would be very grateful for comments
