Glad to hear that you're all set up with XP. If the system supports APM, XP
setup does not enabled it by default. Go to Control Panel> Power Options.
If there is an APM tab (it will only be present if the system supports this
and it has a suitable BIOS version), check the box to enable. Automatic
shutdown should return, if not on this shutdown - on the next one. Merry
