I was using WinXp Pro for quite some time. I had three users setup on my
computer; 2 computer administrators profiles and 1 limited account profile.
On one computer administrator profile, the option to restrict access to the
folder from other users was used. After experiencing some problems with
windows (not related to any of the user profiles I had setup ) and talking
with some techie friends, they suggested to re-install Xp Pro. I
re-installed from the CD ( I DID NOT re-format drive, just re-installed
XpPro)and it installed with no problems at all. When I had everything setup
again, new user profiles, ect, I went into the Documents and settings folder
and found my new user profile folders as well as my old ones. Now, I can
access the old folders, the files and everything but when I goto access my
old folder that had the privacy option used, it keeps saying ACCESS IS
DENIED. IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN ACCESS THOSE FILES? I have a lot of files in
that folder, years of work and personal stuff that I can't afford to lose. I
am willing to do pretty much anything to get those files back. PLEASE HELP
ME! I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT! THANKS IN ADVANCE
