XP access codes

Hey,

Can someone please tell me how to find codes, I had XP on
my puter but I had to get it cleaned out, ok, when I tried
to put it back in, nothing, and then i tried to use the
code on the side of the computer like it said to do in the
instructions but that didn't work, so how do i find the
code the make the CD-ROM work, cause I would really like
to put my XP back on my computer.
