If you are downloading files or applications, the file will not be saved to
the hard drive until it is completely downloaded. There are third party
download managers available that will save the partially downloaded file
information and allow you to resume the download at the point where it was
interrupted, but even this may not work depending on the cause of the system
freeze.
If the system is freezing on a regular basis, this is the problem that needs
to be addressed. Post details about what is happening including any error
messages you are seeing.
