Loss of mapped drives

Hello Group. Have WXP Home on a PC that connects to windows file sharing
support on an IBM server. There is no limit to the number of users who can
have mapped drives to the server but only this on PC continually looses the
mapped drives. There are no issues with viruses, programs requiring patches,
or otherwise. When you restart the PC you are able to remap the missing file
share normally. Even after the PC has lost the mapped drive it still has
connectivity to the server. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
