This icon appeared in the task tray this morning when I
started the system. It was not there at shutdown, Sun.
06/06/2004. Only appears with "Administrator" logged-on.
If right or left click icon, get pop-up to run the wizard,
no right-click option for Properties, Close, etc. In the
pop-up there is a black-white logo similar to Microsoft
banner over a globe. Nowhere does it say "Microsoft".
Options offered are EULA & Privacy Policy links, Next and
Cancel buttons. If click Cancel, Msg. says you will
continue to be reminded.
Norton AV and Ad-aware found other "things" but nothing
which appeared related to this. I don't know how to
identify the running process which produces it. Task Mgr.
shows 43 processes for Admin and 37 for a User.
This thing just looks fake to me. So, anyone know if it is
Legit?
