I'm having the same problem, I spent about the same amount
of time figuring out what the problem was and then
uninstalling the patch on my W2000 P4 Desktop. I found
dlttape.sys in my [\WINNT\ServicePackFiles\i386] folder. I
don't think I am using this driver since it is for a SCSI
tape drive and I don't have SCSI anything. I'm tempted to
delete it and reinstall the patch but I don't feel like
uninstalling it again. I had the Sasser worm restarting my
pc at work all day but our IT dept finally took care of
it. If anyone has any suggestions they would be
appreciated. For me the MS MS04-011 "bug" is debilitating
just like the Sasser "worm". I was keeping up with my MS
Updates so this is a little discouraging especially since
I need to look forward to the eventual arrival of the
mother of all bug, worms, and viruses ... a new Service
Pack.
