I have a client who has downloaded the latest 4 hot fixes
for W2K worksation on a laptop. Unfortunately the system
is now unstable, with the sys process using 100%, the
only other process running is the system idle. It takes
approximately 1 1/2 hours to load W2K in its current
state. The user can logon, however he cannot run any
aplications at all. He has tried to boot into safe mode,
but the system does not recognise any passwords. Finally
the laptop will not boot of the W2K CD.

What he wants to achieve is to access the control panel
to remove the latest hot fixes.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Apologies for the sparse details, however the user is
currently located the other side of the World.

Regards,

Troy
