I had two perfectly working SUS servers until Febuary
20th. To my knowledge, no one has changed any firewall/
ISA Server 2000 configuration any time in this year, but
at the time new SUS content became avaialble, I sarted
having the following error on our Primary and Secondary
SUS servers: Failed to download from
URL 'http://www.msus.windowsupdate.com/msus/v1/aucatalog1.
cab'. (Error 0x80190197: HTTP error 407. Proxy
authentication required.) If I misconfigure the Proxy
settings, a manual sysncronization never advances past 0
percent. Correctly configured, the syncroziation gets to
exactly 25 percent and stalls. If I paste the URL above
into a browser on my workstation, I get prompted to open,
or save the file. If I choose save, the file
consistently gets to 468 bytes of 32.2 Mb and stalls,
then evewntually the connection is reset.

Looking at the Web logs on the ISA server, I consistently
see outbound web requests to msus.microsoft.com logged as
anonymous web requests to that Web site, with one entry
with Domain\ no user name.

Any ideas would greatly help...
