AutoUpdate & BITS Not Installed with SP4

Hey Guys, have a couple computers out of several hundred
that have an Automatic Update icon in control panel, which
says it is the service is unavailable and there are no
services for Automatic Update or BITS (Background
Intelligent Tranfer Service) in computer management. They
are all running SP4 which is supposed to install the
Automatic Update service, but not there. Have tried to
reinstall, but that didn't help either. Have not been able
to find a solution to this. Is it possible to manually
install these two services. Please help!
