A way to turn off ALL roaming profiles?

I am a graphics teacher in a high school.

My Windows XP boxes are working really slow on a Windows 2003 server.

Especially logging on and logging off.

I didn't set up the servers and don't want to start reinstalling just
yet because I am too busy creating my images to ghost on to the
workstations.

Is there a quick way to turn off ALL roaming profiles? I think that may
be the problem.

Since classes are 43 minutes, the logon and logoff time doesn't seem
worth it (we don't have gigabit).

Thanks.
