I have a Windows 2000 terminal server and a Windows 2003 terminal server. We
also use an HP 4600 Color Laser printer. We have an issue where users that
login to either the 2000 or the 2003 terminal server and print to the 4600
for the first time in a day, the printer will spew out pages of garbage.
Power cycle the printer and everything is fine until the next day.
Sounds like a printer issue except, eliminate the terminal servers and send
directly to the printer locally and no issue whether the first or last print
of the day.
So, what I know is my clients are all WinXP Pro but some connect to a 2000
TSE and some to a 2003 TSE. All clients from either TSE have the issue if
they print before power cycling the printer. None APPEAR to have the issue
if they print locally rather than through the TSE.
Any thoughts?
