I have a new Windows 2000 Server SP4 configured as an Application Server and a member of a Windows 2000 domain with Active Directory. I have activated the Terminal Service Licensing on the Domain Controller as required with no actual licenses other than the builtin-cals. I am expecting only windows 2000 clients to access the server...
Initially I was able to use RDP from a desktop to access the server, but all subsequent attempts have resulted in the following message which appears to happen almost immediately:
Because of a Security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer. Verify that you are logged on to the network, and try connecting again.
I get that message even from a copy of the client installed on the actual server....
I have run the LSView utility and it does see the Terminal License Server, even though no builtin CALs are created.
Any help would be appreciated.
