I have installed a WINDOWS 2003 Server which I am very new to. I installed
terminal services component, not knowing that 2k3 already has terminal
services "admin mode" installed by default as remote desktop. I then went
back after some
reading and uninstalled the terminal server services that is intended for
"application mode". Now when i try to connect with my Remote Desktop
Connection I get the following error.
Remote Desktop Disconnected
"The connection was ended because of a network error. Please try to the
remote computer again"
Help gives a very general description of what to do:
The connection was ended because of a network error. Please try connecting
to the remote computer again.
Cause: A network error prevented your computer from communicating with the
terminal server.
Solution: Try connecting to the remote computer again. If you receive the
same message, be sure that your computer is connected to the network. If you
are still unable to connect to the remote computer, contact the server
administrator.
I have verified that I have the check box for remote connection is checked
on this server and I cant find anything on this issue. You guys got any
ideas? Can this component be re-installed?
