Hi Subbu,

According to the article you suggested me to read, the
procedure applies for Win 2003 Server and I have Win 2000
Professional "Client".

I tried to repair the Win 2000 installation by booting
from the CD, and it prompts the Installation/Repair screen
(nothing about Recovery Console appears on the chart), I
typed "R" for repair but I got the very first error
message I reported in my first posting.

My PC has an Intel Pentium 3 (PRO Type 7) 362 MHz, with a
MAXTOR 5T030H3 (IDE type) Disk, 30,739 MB, attached to a
PCI Device Drive 1 Ultra ATA/100 card. Therefore I am not
using the IDE port Primary Master controller, but it is of
an IDE type. With the manufacturer´s diagnostics tools I
am able to see the 4 partition´s structure.

I am not shure what number to use as "raw" device (rdisk
(x) ) in the boot.ini file, though I have done lots of
trials.

Is there any way to access the Recovery Console in Windows
2000 Pro?
