Quite a lot! Some of it depends on what you are trying to achieve, the
deployment method (CD-ROM, Network), and whether you want a "pure"
Microsoft solution, open source tools, non-open source free tools, paid
for tools etc. It would be much easier if you just said what you want to do?

If you use CD-ROM, you can set an option to be able to manually set up
partitions, even on huge RAID sets with NTFS.

I did this on my home system not long back. I created a disttribution
point on SCSI disk No 1 (my old disk), then connected a new SCSI disk
and used the syspart option to put brand new Win2000 on the new drive
including the boot sector. I then switch over the SCSI ID to point to
the new drive - I can now unplug the old drive if I want to.

Yes, but unless you've got a REALLY good reason to do this, I can't see
the point? One reason I can think of, is if you're running a web server
- you don't want WWWROOT on your boot drive.
