Have a Windows 2000 advanced server which had a disk failure. Was able toboots
repair most of the data, but the system still dosn't boot: The system
until the end of the white progress bar (before the GUI) and and then
freezes without any message.
- Same result when trying to start in safe mode
- Have repaired all files with boot from W2000 CD (there is no repair
diskette). Windows said that the repair is successful, but it's still the
same problem after reboot.
What is corrupt if W2K stops booting exactly at the end of the white
progress bar, before the GUI?
Any ideas and hints what I can try as the nest step?
Thank you all in advance for any help
Franz
No sense in fooling with a bad harddrive
by all means replace it at once
and restore your backup to it!
