Re: Linksys wireless network adaptor setup...

You might look around here. You probably don't have an association and or encryption is incorrect also the client probably needs to be DHCP and the router needs to be DHCP server.

Hi I just had to reformat and reinstall windows 2000. (All updates
service pack etc installed)

I have a wireless network adaptor from linksys.
WPC54GX. I downloaded the latest drivers and software from Linksys
USA.

The card appears to be working. However the software doesn't seem to
be connecting to my wireless access point.
Which is a WRT54GL with the firmware 4.30.11.

The wireless network monitor is started from the users startup menu.

The wireless network monitor shows the status message.
You are connected to the access point, but the Internet cannot be
found.

I am using WPA-Personal with TKIP and a passphrase.

My thought is that this software is not being loaded first and that
other things that are looking for updates on the internet are being
loaded first and screwing things up.

How can I make it so that this application is loaded first? Or maybe
this is a DCHP issue?
