What does it say in the boot.ini file? Did you install Windows XP in the same partition as Windows 2000?

It was on other partitions.

I saw when booting in safe mode that some other files had been loaded and it stopped at the SYSTEM file. So I took an older system file from an old backup. After installing some drivers it looked ok, but it was a dirty fix because I am not sure if something is still missing or not.

So, it's ok now. Thanks.

You're welcome.
