shell stopped unexpectedly and explorer.exe was restarted

Hi,

HELP !!! I got this error "shell stopped unexpectedly and explorer.exe was
restarted". In idle mode, the screen shows Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to logon,
everything seems fine. Once login, the entire screen flashs non-stop. I am
not able to do anything. I press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and use the Task Manager to
run command such as services.msc, mmc, regedit, eventvwr.msc and all these
commands works fine.

I logoff, and like i said in the welcome page, the screen does not flash. I
create new user account, login - same problem. I resintalled SP4, IE6 SP1,
Add/Remove program to remove IIS and reinstall. All these does not solve the
problem !

Please help !!! This is a SERVER ... I could not possibly format it and
resintall all the applications. The only goods news for me now is the
applications are still working !

Thanks !
