Migration from W2K to W2K3

I am new to ADMT so have the following question. In trying to migrate a
group and user I am finding it is not updating the share and folder
permissions to reflect the new user in my new domain. This forces me to
manually change the permissions which will be a huge burden. I have it set
to migrate the SID as well as the password. What am I doing wrong that is
causing this issue?
