Hi
I have restored a server (HP LH4) to different hardware
(HP proliant dl360 G3). When I boot the server up it hangs
on the Windows 2000 server page. I cannot boot into safe
mode either.
I see that when I boot into safe mode it appears to load
all the drivers but when it needs to initialise the
windows section is hangs.
When I put the same disks into a Proliant DL360 G2 server
it boots up fine.
When running on the G2 box in have removed all the scsi
devices and drive contollers and network cards through
device manager so it would redetect them - but when drives
are put back in the G3 box it hangs at the same place.
I have tried usual W2K repairs and even sysprep -pnp to no
avail. How do I troubleshoot further - anyone??
Thank you
Arthur
