Cant establish Internet Connection through Routing Interfaces

I have a Win2k Server and I am trying to share the internet through the network. I have an ADSL modem and can connect the server to the internet through a Network and Dial Up Connection. The I tried to define in Routing in Remote Access a Routing Interface. When I did that it suddenly did not find the Gateway for the DSL connection. I tried to copy all the IP settings as far as possible from the Dial Up Connection to be equal. Only the option for using the default gateway was not available. Anybody has a clue how to set the gateway in such a case, or to make the system recognize the automatic settings of the DSL connection?
