Binding order problems suddenly

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi gang -

We're using Windows Server 2003 with RRAS for our VPN clients, doing L2TP
with certificates. Today almost all of my clients suddenly "broke" when
binding up the VPN adapter. Clients all connect fine, but DNS resolution
sticks with their internet provider DNS server, not "switching" to my
internal DNS servers. Since they have zero name resolution, they are going
nowhere. I fixed it by following article Q311218.

Why would they all break today like this? Everything else has been quite
stable.

Has anyone seen this?

All clients are XP SP1 + hotfixes.
