Sorry for the late reply as I was on-leave due to the death of my mother.

Many thanks for you replies, Robert and Bill.

Unfortunately, the test client I was using was re-configured so that I can
no longer verify the settings. As far as I remember, the client was using
the DNS addresses of my DSL provider.

I hope you can help me correctly configure the proxy settings as I can no
longer recall. But I do remember setting up the dialup networking for
dialling the office modem.
