Hi RAS Gurus
My employer have a small workforce of 40 people. He wants to give remote
access to 3 of these using PPTP with RAS (Windows 2003 Server). My VPN server
has three analog modems connected to it. The problem is that this VPN server
can not be directly connected to public telephone network. It can sit behind
a PBX with three specific extension numbers given to it. The clients are all
Windows XP-SP2 boxes. They can dial only front desk number from where the
front desk operator can connect to the desired extension number.
So the question is, how do I make the XP-SP2 clients dial the front desk
number, wait till this call is established and then followed by this call
establishment, dial the extension number(s) given to the server machine. Is
it really possible to do so?
OR
If not automatically, Is there a way the client user can dial the first
number manually, ask the operator to transfer the call to desired extension
number and at this point if I could handover the control to XP for
establishing the PPTP connection.
Please help.
Appreciate your advice in advance.
Regards,
-- Sam
