Hi all!
I am facing strange problem. I have installed Win2k advanced server in
a box which I want to use as Router.
On the LAN i have address range of 10.10.10.x (255.255.255.0 s/n
mask). for net access I hv VSAT where the VSAT device is 127.72.13.65,
and is the gateway for internet access.
I had put 2 NIC into the intended router box, given one IP
127.72.13.93 to the segment connected to VSAT, and the other one
10.10.10.100. Made the PCs on local LAN hv a gateway at 10.10.10.100,
the router box running win2k. Also had made the NIC on VSAT segment on
Win2k box to have a gateway at 172.27.13.65
I enabled RRAS service from Admin Tools specifying that it is the
internet connection share point. For the first boot it worked fine but
on the next day, it kept on going slow and then went dead. Pls. also
comment whether Norton antivirus corporate edition (unmanaged
installation) have any effect on such setup, i.e. blocking traffic or
similar activity
Then I went to Winproxy and it worked fine.
What do i need to do re: DNS setup? I feel that there is absolutely no
need for ADS...pls comment.
SOS...!
