w2kprosp4 pc continually has event error 7031. spooler will not start
automatically on bootup. Spooler will start manually, but as soon as I try
to create a printer object I get an out of resources error message and the
spooler has stopped.
I have followed many documents about clearing the registry, and deleting
certain files and folders from the spooler directory.
Anyone have other ideas about how to fix the problem? Is it time to rebuild
the pc?

Couldn't it be the case with DEVMODE version 3 structure in print job.
MS says (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324183) it has fixed the
prority of processing to just check for IMC right in SP4 (http://
support.microsoft.com/kb/327194). Have you ID45 listed too? Are you
creating the object in Terminal Server? If so, try to switch it to
install mode.
