Share problems with xp-home to 2000 Pro

I have a 2000 pro workstation that shares a Xerox network printer, I have a
7 Windows 2000 Pro workstations and 1 xp-home that works fine but one
xp-home is trying to use the shared printer, \\system\xerox , the 2000 Pro
workstation has the xp as a user and password.
On the xp-home workstation I can browse and find the printer or add the
\\system\xerox printer, and it asked for the user name and password, It
shouldn’t have asked for that if the 2000 pro saw the user, but I put the
user and password in and it all works until you log off, or restart.
Any ideas?
