The first thing you need to add is a service to the machine sharing the
printer that supports direct TCP printing. This service is available on XP,
the TCP/IP Print Server service.
Add Programs
Windows Components
Other network file and print services
Print Services for Unix
After adding this service, change the startup option to Automatic
On the machine connecting to the shared printer, create a Standard TCP/IP
port to the IP of the other machine, use the custom option, select LPR mode,
set the queue name to LJ4 and set byte count enabled.
This configuration works great, I use this all the time.

Hello
Here what i need to do
I have a HP Laserjet 4 (Only LPT1) that is plug to a Windows XP
Workstation
On that workstation, i add the printer called "LJ4" and i shared it. The
workstation is on our domain and is TCP_IP address is 192.168.70.xxx
What i want to try to do now is to add a TCP_IP port on another
workstation (that is not part of our domain) and is on another segment
(172.21.11.xxx) to be able to print on the printer. This workstation is
for a library and is just use to go on the internet.
Thanks for helping me
Jac
