\viewkind4\uc1\pard\f0\fs20 Hi Eddy,
\par
\par Thanks for posting here.
\par
\par From your post, my understanding of this issue is: you have shared a printer on AD, but when you choose it from XP workstations connecting to the domain via VPN you get an error. If this is not correct, please feel free to let me know.
\par
\par This seems to be a complicated issue, and we need more information for further assistance:
\par
\par 1. Please let me know whether this is a network printer or a local printer. If it is a local printer, do you connect it to a XP workstation or a server OS?
\par
\par 2. Please let me know the detailed error message verbatim.
\par
\par 3. If you try to connect the printer in the LAN, do you get the same error?
\par
\par 4. If you can visit the printer in the LAN, it seems that the issue is related to the VPN connection. If so, have you configure Offline Files or Folder Redirection for the XP workstations?
\par
\par Hope this helps! I look forward to hearing from you soon.
\par
\par Have a nice day!
\par
\par Sincerely,
\par Tom Che

\par I am having a problem with my XP machines. I have created shares and they
\par show up in the directory, but when chosen, I get an error that they are not
\par connected (even though they are). The machines are connecting to the domain
\par via VPN, XP firewall is off, file and print sharing is checked on both the
\par Local Area Connection and VPN. Security on the share shows the "everyone"
\par group allowed to print (plus I cannot connect even as administrator).
\par Please help!
