I was able to print to a printer shared by a pc when the pc was not
part of the domain.
After joining the pc to the domain the DC can not print to the shared
printer.
"Operation could not be completed. Either the printer name was typed
incorrectly, or the specified printer lost its connection to the
server. For mor info, click help."
all the worstations can print to this printer correctly.

If this current computer is a Domain Controller then this will not work. ... you use the new box to setup the domain without joining it to the current ... current 2000 box to a member server and then remove it from the domain by ...dcpromo on it to make it a DC in the current domain. ...
