Removing printers from the browse list

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

When you start Add Printer Wizard, choose network printer, then click
the second option "Connect to this printer", then leave the Name field
blank, it gives you a list of machines. Clicking the + next to a
machine shows its shared printers.

Is there a way to not display the printers in this box, while still
sharing the printers? I've tried unchecking the "List in the
directory" option on the print server, and also adding a $ to the end
of the share name, but they still show up in this particular list.
